Model European Parliament[edit]

Created by KKalve (talk). Self nominated at 10:21, 20 April 2013 (UTC).

  • Article: The article, at 1,921 characters on 20 April 2013, is of sufficient length and is new enough (originally a redirect, it was converted into an article starting from 17 April). It is generally adequately referenced, except for the sentence in the "Similar projects" section which is unreferenced. This needs to be fixed. (It would be a good idea to add archive URLs to all citations to prevent link rot, but this is not necessary for the article to appear in "Did you know?".)
  • Hook: The hook is currently 214 characters in length, and thus too long. More importantly, the article does not contain any reference to fact that the Model European Parliament happens twice a year. I also feel that the fact that 180 students take part in the event should be stated somewhere in the main text of the article, not only in the infobox. — SMUconlaw (talk) 20:20, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

References and content to article added. Hook shortened as follows:
ALT1... that twice a year, 180 students from across Europe gather to simulate the working of the European Parliament for the international session of the Model European Parliament? — Preceding unsigned comment added by KKalve (talkcontribs) 01:38, 5 May 2013‎

All right, that looks fine to me. However, I would suggest the following minor rewording of the hook:
ALT1: *... that 180 students from across Europe gather twice a year during the international session of the Model European Parliament to simulate how the European Parliament works?

Looks great! KKalve (talk) 19:37, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
