... that a 15th-century portrait of a Bavarian town clerk by the anonymous Master of the Mornauer Portrait (pictured) was repainted in the 18th century and sold as a portrait of Martin Luther by Hans Holbein the Younger?

This article is new enough and long enough. It is written in a dispassionate, neutral manner. Numerous inline citations to reliable sources within every paragraph. No close paraphrasing or other copyvio issues found. The QPQ requirement is not applicable, as this is Primaler's first nomination (great job!). The image is in the public domain, and displays well in thumbnail size. The hook is interesting, and is directly attributable to an inline citation found within the article. However, I found it to be confusing, as on first read I thought it was Holbein who sold the painting. When you read the article it is obvious the painting was passed off as the work of Holbein, who was not alive in the 18th century, but an art-ignoramus like myself wouldn't know that.
