List of number-one dance singles of 2011 (U.S.)[edit]

Rihanna performing live.

Created/expanded by Calvin999 (talk). Self nom at 17:49, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

  • QPQ done. Hook is properly formatted. Assuming article is at 5x now, expansion began 9 edits ago on July 7, 2012. Good on new enough and long enough. Article is neutral enough. Images have copyright tags. Hooked fact appears in article and supported by sources. No plagiarism concerns. Image is in article.
  • Two fact tags. The Billboard comment should be treated like a note and not towards the prose. The article has no sections so it needs to be fully sourced. --LauraHale (talk) 09:32, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

Clean fact tags. --LauraHale (talk) 09:32, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

  • Comment: How is the article 5x when it was 17,029 bytes on 23 May, 2012, and after edits that Calvin made now is 26,323 bytes. That is not even 1x expansion :/. — Tomica (talk) 10:08, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

    • May 28th prose size: Prose size (text only): 169 B (28 words) "readable prose size". Current prose size: Prose size (text only): 1673 B (276 words) "readable prose size". Hence 5 fold expansion. --LauraHale (talk) 10:20, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
      • Ooops. My mistake, I thought the bytes of the article alone are counted (not the prose). Please continue the nomination and apologize from me. — Tomica (talk) 10:22, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
          • Suggestion if you are going to do DYK regularly:
importScript('User:Shubinator/DYKcheck.js'); //DYKcheck tool

Add the above line to User:Tomica/vector.js. See example at User:LauraHale/vector.js for this. It makes DYK eligibility checking super simple. --LauraHale (talk) 10:27, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

              • The hook is referenced by two sources in the prose in the lead, as well as in the table. Direct from the Billboard archive website. I'm not really sure what you want me to do? Aaron You Da One 11:44, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

Good to go. As a random point based on edit summaries: Leads do not require sources if they are written as WP:SUMMARY of the article text. In the case of this article, there is no lead section which summarises the prose. Rather, it appears to be subject to the MOS regarding lists, where the first section is generally required to be fully sourced. Anyway, everything now sourced so all good. --LauraHale (talk) 12:18, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

  • Oh I didn't know what you mean't by fact tags. Thanks. Aaron You Da One 12:30, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
    • Huh. When there is unsourced information in an article, I tend to put {{fact}} tags in it to make it easier to find. It is completely possibly some one else cleaned them out for you? --LauraHale (talk) 12:51, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
      • Oh I use {{citation needed}} lol. Doesn't matter. Aaron You Da One 12:52, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

I reverted the article for various reasons, but will re-add the summary and pictures in order to move forward with the DYN submission. Stand by. - eo (talk) 13:21, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
Everything is fine now. Aaron You Da One 14:05, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

We appear to be good to go again. --LauraHale (talk) 20:55, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
