John H. Carkin

Source: On 10 January 1927, the Medford Mail Tribune reported: "T. C. Cramer of Grants Pass nominated John H. Carkin of Medford for speaker. … Carkin was immediately unanimously elected."(subscription required) The Oregon State Archives 1927 Oregon Legislators and Staff Guide confirms Carkin served as speaker during the 1927 legislative session.
