Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko[edit]

  • ... that the 1999 film Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko was the first Philippine-produced film to exceed 100 million pesos in box office gross?

  • (edit conflict) Length, size ok. Hook fact is backed up ref (albeit not a ref independent from the subject). But I think there are some copy-editing issues to be addressed. The entire synopsis package is copypaste from another website, not sure if that is within limits of using quotations. Refs 3 and 5 does not back up the claim that it grossed 104 million pesos, IMDb is not WP:RS and newspapers cited from google news should have their names mentioned. The sentences "The film was Muñoz' first project in the entertainment industry, excluding his "Close-Up" commercial. In fact, he already had a movie even before his formal introduction in the eighth batch of Star Magic. On the other hand, his co-star, Santos, was thrilled to be her partner since he was her former schoolmate from Mt. Carmel High School in Quezon City" needs a rewrite, the grammar is somewhat confusing, and in part not supported by the reference (that Muñoz was a newcomer to cinema, for example). --Soman (talk) 09:38, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
  • Hi! I already edited the synopsis to avoid copy-editing issues, and 104 million pesos gross was already changed to 100+ million for now until I find the perfect reference for that. The paragraph under "Production" section was already changed and added more references for stronger support. For the newspapers, their names (Fernando Poe Jr. [or FPJ] and Judy Ann Santos) were mentioned several times together with their film Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko. • No QPQ needed. --Soman (talk) 09:40, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
  • "reached and" deleted from hook, as redundant. And trimmed a bit more.Edwardx (talk) 18:42, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
