Ip Man (film series)[edit]

Created by Captain Assassin! (talk). Self nominated at 17:45, 27 March 2015 (UTC).

  • I've been meaning watch this film series. New enough (same day) and long enough (2k characters). Neutral, sourced and with no apparent copyvio. Unfortunately, a QPQ is missing again. There are also two bare urls. Fuebaey (talk) 16:59, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
  • Thanks. I've noticed you nominated the third film here as well. Would you mind combining it as:
ALT1 ... that the third part of a film trilogy based on the life of Bruce Lee's martial arts mentor, Yip Man, is set to be released next year?
Fuebaey (talk) 20:23, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
I don't think so. It's better separately. It has an interesting hook, it's very often for a director to direct all parts in a series. --Captain Assassin! «TCG» 03:50, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
If trilogies are usually directed by one person, that makes this hook interesting because Yip is somewhat famous? I doubt many outside Hong Kong know who Yip is, hence the suggestion to mention Lee or even the lead actor, Donnie Yen, but suit yourself. The hook still needs to be cited at the end of each sentence. Fuebaey (talk) 21:47, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
Cited. What about this one? --Captain Assassin! «TCG» 02:56, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
  • Not entirely cited, but I think at this point it just gets bureaucratic - the linked film articles do not contradict the fact that Yip directed the series and Yen played the lead. However, another editor has added an unsourced paragraph, which indeed does need a reference if this is to go ahead. Fuebaey (talk) 08:36, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
  • @Fuebaey: I've removed the unsourced material from the article. You can go ahead now. --Captain Assassin! «TCG» 09:27, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
