I Am Wrath[edit]

Created by Captain Assassin! (talk). Self nominated at 11:53, 26 March 2015 (UTC).

  • When "Captain Assassin" creates "I am Wrath", we all better watch out. EEng (talk) 17:50, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
I always like running into you, C.A. EEng (talk) 15:09, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
You should be more careful then, I'm an Assassin. Remember? Don't force me to do something wrong with you. I've so many hidden ways. --Captain Assassin! «TCG» 16:14, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
  • spelling niggle how about "after his wife's murder?" or "after his wife is murdered"
(first attempt at doing a review, so I beg everybody's forbearance) the is article new, hook is under 200 words, the fact that Travolta's wife in the film is murdered is supported by an inline refererence, however the reference only says that Travolta's character seeks revenge, would be nice if a reference can be found with the line "I am Wrath" Directly tied to the character.--KTo288 (talk) 19:19, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
Since the idea of April 1st is to mislead how about ... that, because of his wife's murder, John Travolta has become Wrath? --KTo288 (talk) 20:01, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
@KTo288: I've rephrased the hook to a better shape now. --Captain Assassin! «TCG» 14:33, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Like it. EEng (talk) 15:09, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Checking through the sources, and so far everything seems to be okay, dupe detector shows up occurances of matching words, but I am convinced this is innocent, it is impossible for anyone to write about film without using some of the technical terms of the industry. Facts stated in the article match those in sources. All sources use words along the lines of "Travolta seeks revenge after corrupt cops fail to catch his wife's murderer." and it probably comes from a press release by the production company, that will probably be used as its tagline. Rather than paraphrasing like mad to try and avoid using the same words, it may be better to try and find the original release (company website?) quoting it verbatim and attributing it as a quote.--KTo288 (talk) 12:09, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
@KTo288: I would say, better leave the quote. Just proceed it without that. Thanks. --Captain Assassin! «TCG» 17:12, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
No problem , what they did have on the one company website I found was far too long to be used.--KTo288 (talk) 17:15, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
@KTo288: Are you passing it then or is there a problem? --Captain Assassin! «TCG» 18:21, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
Chickening out of passing, I'm new to this and would appreciate a more experienced pair of eyes to go over it and see if I've missed anything.--KTo288 (talk) 19:27, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
  • Needs a full review, first reviewer is new here. --Captain Assassin! «TCG» 16:40, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
  • I've stuck the hook, which might or might not have been okay for April Fool's Day, but is clearly not acceptable for regular DYK. Also, a QPQ review will have to be supplied for this nomination to proceed further. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:46, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
  • Captain Assassin!, since Travolta's wife has not been murdered, the hook is unacceptable; it's why I struck it in the first place. (You might be able to get away with conflating Travolta's real and fictional wife on April Fool's, but not otherwise.) You will need to supply a new, different hook. There can't be a review without a hook. (If you meant to above, I don't see anything new.) BlueMoonset (talk) 23:35, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
  • ALT1: ... that the development of the upcoming film I Am Wrath was halted in February 2013 and begin again right after two years?
  • Reviewer needed for ALT2. Yoninah (talk) 19:20, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
  • This article is new enough and long enough. The ALT2 hook facts have inline citations, the article is neutral and it is within policy. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 12:41, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
