Fourpence (British coin)[edit]

  • Long enough; new enough; within policy; interesting, well cited, and succinct hook (especially if like me you are of British origin :-) ). Image seems to be free why not add it? Minor point: There's something weird about cite2 (Leland). Google Books seems to have scanned volume 2 instead of the claimed volume 1. I found a scan of volume one here but the joey info appears on page 114 not 121. (Oddly, Leland places the info under the entry for "bit" not "joey." so it's a "bit" hard to find ;-) ). Maybe different editions have different paginations? I AGF that no QPQ is needed. Cheers! Woz2 (talk) 22:53, 25 May 2014 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the review. I had a look and found the same reference (I think it's yet another version of the same book) and switched it for the old one, so it now links to a Google Books book which is viewable. The page numbers should make sense at least now. As for the image, it could be used but I recently submitted another DYK that had a coin image and don't want it to get too "coin heavy" :P. Also, the images aren't as crisp as they could be and I'm going to try and get better ones when I can. Thanks. Retroplum (talk) 13:57, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
