Fortifications of Malta[edit]

Fort Saint Angelo in Birgu

  • "considered among the finest examples" is typical WP:WEASEL/WP:NPOV (even if a source says it). Consider a better strapline. Igor the bunny (talk) 21:18, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
  • I agree. Would you mind changing your hook to one revoving around the age of the fortifications? --GouramiWatcher(?) 15:21, 1 February 2015 (UTC)
  • If it's OK for the article, it's OK for a hook, especially if presented as a quote:
ALT1 ... that a nineteenth-century author wrote, "there is not a more complete system of fortifications extant, in any part of the world, than the cordon of defensive structures at Malta"?
EEng (talk) 03:21, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
  • OK, how about this?
ALT2 ... that the fortifications of Malta (Fort St Angelo pictured) were built as a result of Malta's strategic position and natural harbours? --Xwejnusgozo (talk) 18:48, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
ALT3 ... that the fortifications of Malta (Fort St Angelo pictured) were built to take advantage of Malta's strategic position and natural harbours? EEng (talk) 00:09, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

Length, cites, newness all seem good to go. I like ALT1, or ALT3 if there's any reason not to use the first one. Maury Markowitz (talk) 00:54, 13 February 2015 (UTC)
