Floyd Bennett Field[edit]

Improved to Good Article status by Epicgenius (talk). Self-nominated at 03:59, 15 September 2018 (UTC).

  • Verified GA promotion. No problem with article. Five different hooks proposed, yet I think they all suffer a bit in interest. How about:
  • ALT5:...that New York City's first municipal airport, Floyd Bennett Field, was not commercially successful due to its location in Brooklyn?
QPQ needed also. MB 02:42, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
@MB: Thanks for the review. I will do the QPQ shortly. In the meantime, I think ALT5 needs a little more detail for people who aren't familiar with NYC. For instance,

I think ALT5 is more "hooky" leaving an unanswered question whereas ALT6 is overly wordy. Perhaps:
  • ALT6A:...that New York City's first municipal airport, Floyd Bennett Field, was not commercially successful due to its remoteness from Manhattan?
QPQ done. Hooks ALT5, ALT6, and ALT6A variations of the same fact, supported by same sources. I'll approved this nom with these three hooks and the promoter can select the best. MB 18:50, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
