Florence (video game)[edit]

  • ... that the developers of Florence wanted to create a game which eschewed video game violence? Source: "I was interested in making non-violent games. I think violent games are great, I grew up with them, but there are enough of those in the world. And I wanted to explore what kind of stories and what kind of dynamics we can get without resorting to violence. I’m still very interested in making games for a broad audience, especially people who don’t normally play games." ([1])
    • ALT1:... that Florence shows the awkwardness of a first date through a puzzle minigame, which becomes easier as the main character becomes more comfortable? Source: "For example on Florence and Krish's first date, Krish opens his mouth to speak and a text-message-style bubble appears. In order for Florence to answer, you need to put together puzzle pieces to make a bubble of your own. It's awkward work, and at first it takes a few seconds to work out each reply. But as the pair become more comfortable with each other the puzzles become simpler, and eventually Florence's words are just pouring out, with her flushed-cheek ebullience at the top of the screen matching your swift and easy puzzle-solving below." ([2])
  • Comment: Like ALT1 better than the main hook option-- also still need to do my review of another article. Nomader (talk) 04:31, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

  • @Nomader: Article is new (having been created only 2 days ago), long enough, doesn't have any copyright violations, the two images it used have the proper information (they appear to be larger than usual but a bot will most likely take care of that), neutral, and is reliably sourced. I think the second hook is more interesting. While a game being intetnionally created to avoid violence is also interesting, one could argue that many games are made with that mindset in mind. So yeah, I'd go with the second. The hook is also present and sourced in the articles, as necessary, and is less that 200 characters. QPQ is also complete. The only question I have is, what do you mean by "begin to more seriously date"? PanagiotisZois (talk) 21:24, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
