Exercise Spring Train

HMS Sheffield in 1982

  • ... that seven of the British warships that participated in the Falklands War were sent straight from Exercise Spring Train? "Woodward received instructions from England that Operation Corporate was now in progress and he should prepare seven of the Springtrain ships for a covert voyage south." from: Middlebrook, Martin. The Falklands War. Casemate Publishers. p. 87. ISBN 978-1-78159-763-7.

  • Article created 11 October, is long enough, well-cited, and neutral, and Earwig finds only short unavoidable phrases. All hooks are cited and interesting. Image is suitably licensed, QPQ done. Although it’s a little cumbersome, my choice would be Alt2. To make it punchier, we could perhaps change “that participated in” to simply “from”? Ready to go. Thanks Moonraker, no objections from me for your proposed rewording - Dumelow (talk) 05:47, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Okay, I have added that as ALT3. Moonraker (talk) 06:16, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
