Drungary of the Watch[edit]

  • ... that the Byzantine office of Drungary of the Watch began as a military commander tasked with the emperor's security, became a senior judicial post, and ended as a sinecure and court dignity?

  • Article created on the 19th, but within the five-day limit. Article and hook both within length limits. AGF regarding sources, since all but two are off-line. Good to go. I have some formatting issues that shouldn't affect its approval to DYK, for improvement sake, which I'll take to the article's talk page. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 21:27, 28 July 2013 (UTC)
