Dr. Georgi Stranski University Hospital[edit]

The University Hospital in Pleven
The University Hospital in Pleven
  • ... that the University Hospital in Pleven (pictured) is the only hospital in Bulgaria that operates two robot-assisted surgery systems and a social robot for patients? Source: [1] Bulgaria has four Da Vinci robots, two of them in [the University Hospital] in Pleven, used for urological and gynecological surgery, the other two are in "Doverie" Hospital and "Acibadem City Clinic-Tokuda Hospital" in Sofia. / [2] "There is one more robot in the hospital - Greg, named after Prof. Gorchev and provides assistance in patient visitations when their doctors are not on the hospital grounds."

Interesting, on good sources, no copyvio obvious. The image is licensed and a good illustration. This is your fourth DYK nom, right? Some things to be considered for the article: The left image displaces the next header, better right? We don't use "Dr." unless in a name. Perhaps link Ottoman? Perhaps add more independent sources to the official website? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:44, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
Yep, I have two more in the works, one of them a massive expansion of an existing article - will probably submit it next week. I've addressed all the other remarks, except the Dr. in the title - it's the official name of the hospital. Added a reliable English-language source as well. - ☣Tourbillon A ? 13:53, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
Thank you! Nothing wrong with Dr. in the hospital's name (as said before), but there's still one in the image caption. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:56, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
Removed it! - ☣Tourbillon A ? 15:38, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

@Tourbillon:, I came to promote this, but the hook needs to be rephrased. The hook states that the hospital is the only one in Bulgaria to use two robot-assisted surgery systems and a social robot; however, the article itself says that there are two other hospitals in Bulgaria that use the system (Da Vinci), and nowhere in the article does it say that the hospital is the only one in the country that uses a social robot. I don't understand. The stress is on two, while two others have one. Perhaps we can just drop the social robot? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:37, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
The hook is a bit of a run-on sentence, as it can be interpreted to mean that the hospital is the only hospital in Bulgaria to have a social robot (had there been a comma somewhere, this interpretation may have not been possible). In any case, the article itself admits that two other hospitals have the Da Vinci system in Bulgaria, so the hook is not even unique or quirky. A new hook might need to be proposed here. I thought we'd wait for the author, no?
ALT1: ... that the University Hospital in Pleven (pictured) is the only hospital in Bulgaria that operates two robot-assisted surgery systems?
ALT2: ... that the University Hospital in Pleven (pictured) operates a social robot for patients, and is the only hospital in Bulgaria with two robot-assisted surgery systems? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:04, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
I'm leaning towards ALT2, but I'll wait for the nominator to comment their thoughts here first. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:29, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
The hospital is the only one with two systems which, I agree, kind of reduces the uniqueness factor. ALT2 seems quite reasonable. Additionally, this is the first hospital in Bulgaria that has performed robot-assisted surgery, which can also be used in the hook. Maybe it could look something like this:
ALT3: ...that the University Hospital in Pleven (pictured) was the first hospital in Bulgaria to perform robot-assisted surgery and operates two robotic surgery systems? - ☣Tourbillon A ? 11:26, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, that too repetitive, and list the social factor. If that line, how is this?
ALT4: ...that the University Hospital in Pleven (pictured) was the first hospital in Bulgaria to perform robot-assisted surgery? - If it comes pictured, - the hook doesn't matter too much. Look today ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:40, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
Looks fine and simple enough. Looking forward to seeing it. :) - ☣Tourbillon A ? 11:45, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
  • Considering the nominator's preference, and the fact that it's cited inline and interesting, I'm approving ALT4 and restoring the tick. Thanks. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 11:56, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
