Czech bramboráček bread being deep fried
- Unfortunatelly, on picture is definitely not (typical) Czech bramboráček. Czech bramborák is flat round. The word "bramboráček" means "small bramborák", i.e. the round is smaller than usual. - @Coin945: Regarding your adding the TAFI advertisement to the hook, I don't understand what the reader would get out of this, or why it should be part of the hook. It just confuses the hook. Your edit summary said

- Thank you for your comment. Per a discussion taht happened so long ago that I'm not entirely sure where it is (although I can vouch for its existence), TAFI had a discussion with the Main Page people and we agreed to have a small TAFI link after each TAFI DYK as a compromise for not having a TAFI permanent feature section on the main page, and it's been like that ever since. It's a matter of tradition if anything else. You'd need to start a discussion to remove the TAFI link.--Coin945 (talk) 16:50, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- On the contrary, I think you need to provide a permalink to the discussion that allows an approved DYK hook to be altered so it doesn't make sense to the average reader. Or otherwise show where it is written in the DYK guidelines. Anybody can say they remember anything, but links are needed. I don't know what "tradition" you are talking about, because I've been working DYK for years and never seen this. Unless this is made known to DYK participants, the TAFI is going to be edited out, anyway, by promoters and/or admins who move it to queue, because they have no idea what it is. So far, you don't even seem to have consensus to do this at your own project: Wikipedia talk:Today's articles for improvement#TAFI on the main page?. (Barely) new enough when nominated. Long enough at 14696 characters. The article is neutral and adequately sourced. Copyvios turned up a few results where other websites copy Wikipedia, sometimes without attribution, but other than that, the article does not suffer from any copyright issues. The hook is neutral, short enough, interesting enough, and verified to the source provided. QPQ not required. Good to go. sst✈discuss 13:38, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
