Crescent City Blues[edit]

Created/expanded by Mike Selinker (talk). Self nom at 11:17, 3 October 2012 (UTC)

  • Article is new and long enough, hook is short enough and (subjectively) interesting. Please ensure that all paragraphs and end-of-paragraph sentences have an inline citation, so the text can be verified. Further, the hook fact is not directly cited in the article. • Updated. I think the hook fact is cited, but please take a look now and let me know if you think there are any remaining issues.--Mike Selinker (talk) 15:01, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
  • The first part of the hook is now cited, but the second half does not have an inline cite in the article ("It is a torch song about a lonely woman hoping to leave the Midwestern town of Crescent City." 2nd sentence in the lead). Perhaps the hook might be snappier if this were left out entirely? Sasata (talk) 19:49, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
ALT1:... that Johnny Cash took most of the lyrics of "Folsom Prison Blues" from Gordon Jenkins' song "Crescent City Blues"?
That's fine with me.--Mike Selinker (talk) 21:05, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
