The article at the moment does NOT qualify as a DYK. It is long enough of over 4500 characters. Hook is properly referenced. However I see the created start "new article" date as May 25 and it was submitted 6 days later of May 31. I don't see how this qualifies as being "new" = within the past five days. Maybe I have missed something. Can you explain this, as I see everything else as being correct and meets DYK requirements. I could approve otherwise if you can show me it meets the "new" requirement or the 5X requirement. Also the QPQ needs to be done.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 18:03, 31 May 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks. I accept that it was six days, not five. My fault, sorry. However, I think this is the first time I've been late, and there is Rule D9, " 'Five days old' limit should be strictly enforced only if there is a large backlog of hooks". As we have recently gone from three to two sets per day, we are short of approved hooks. Also, it's a fun hook and an interesting article. Plus, with you reviewing it within nine hours of the nom, it could reach the front page quicker than most new content anyway. So, with D9 in mind, perhaps you could cut me a little slack this once...
