Expansion recent enough. More than 5x expanded. QPQ done. Unlinked "park" in hook. The article states that the park opened in July 1929, not that the land was donated in 1929. However, a source states, " In July of 1929 S. B. and his wife Hattie, donated land to the Oregon State Highway Department for the use of a park". All paragraphs cited. - Have added park link to hook as you suggested. While I assumed park opening coincided with property donation, as you point out, the source does not specifically says when the park opened…just that the property was donated in July 1929. Therefore, I believe hook is correct as written. However, I removed reference to park "opening" from article text. Article now reads: "the Chandlers decided to donate the property to the State of Oregon in July 1929." Believe this covers comments above. Good catch!--Orygun (talk) 22:28, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
Minor misunderstanding - park was linked before, I unlinked it per WP:OVERLINK, as it is a common word. Unlinked again. Agreed, common sense suggests a 1929 opening especially for a park that size back then. But we must avoid anything that might smack of WP:OR, and that minor change to the article sorts it out nicely.
