Bill Woodrow[edit]

Sitting on History (1995) by Bill Woodrow at the British Library, London, UK

  • ALT1:... that British sculptor Bill Woodrow (sculpture pictured) used material he found in dumps, used car lots and scrap yards in his early artworks?
  • Reviewed: I'm Gonna Get You (Bizarre Inc song)
  • Comment: This article was an unreferenced BLP that has been expanded twofold.

5x expanded by Camembert (talk), Hotlorp (talk). Self-nominated by Smuconlaw (talk) at 21:24, 23 March 2014 (UTC).

  • This was not an unsourced BLP – it had a reference and an external link prior to expansion. The 2x BLP exception is not applicable, and the regular 5x expansion is required. It was 1289 prose characters prior to expansion, and now it's 2781, so an additional 3664 would be required. I've removed Camembert and Hotlorp from the credits, as they haven't edited the article for over eleven years. The expansion was entirely by Smuconlaw. Also, the image license may not be valid in the U.S., so it may not be acceptable for DYK. MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 00:40, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
I took "unsourced" to mean inadequately sourced, but if the nomination doesn't satisfy DYK guidelines then no problems. Thanks for reviewing. — SMUconlaw (talk) 09:06, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
  • Unfortunately, unsourced means completely unsourced—no references whatever—for the 2x BLP exception to be invoked. Since there doesn't seem any further expansion in the offing to reach the required 5x, the nomination won't satisfy DYK guidelines. Thanks for the effort, SMUconlaw; wish I had better news.
