Bill Watkins[edit]

Old Judge baseball tobacco card of W. H. "Bill" Watkins

5x expanded by Cbl62 (talk). Self nominated at 15:28, 1 August 2014 (UTC).

  • @Cbl62, please add an alternate hook, the hook seems not interesting , there are many baseball players who won a championship including a pennant, everything's ok, the citations, the length, 5x expanded, qpq, no copyvio and paraphrasing, the only problem is the hook. --PAPAJECKLOY (hearthrob! kiss me! <3) (talk) 17:48, 2 August 2014 (UTC).
Gee, I though this was one of my more interesting ones. Winning major league pennants in two different cities and separated by 27 years is very unusual. That said, I will try to come up with another hook when I have a few minutes. Cbl62 (talk) 18:54, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
alt 1 ... that Bill Watkins (pictured) led Detroit to the 1887 World Series and had won more pennants than any other manager by 1894? Cbl62 (talk) 18:42, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
