Overall: A concise yet no less sound article for a fine work of art. I have assumed good faith for the paywalled sources and have verified content with the other sources. The hook is interesting because "tronie" is by itself a somewhat amusing sounding word, which draws a reader's curiosity. The article is new enough and long enough, it is neutrally written and sufficiently sourced, and Earwig does not detect serious plagiarism (the percentage seems to be owed to quoting Arthur K. Wheelock in the last paragraph). The image, even at a smaller size, is clear enough to recognize and discern. QPQ is complete. In short, I approve the nomination. @Bruxton and P-Makoto: Interesting article! I wanted to promote it, but I think we're still missing a citation or two at the end of the corresponding sentence in the actual article (even if it's just a repetitive citation), per DYK Rule 3b: Each fact in the hook must be supported in the article by at least one inline citation to a reliable source, appearing no later than the end of the sentence(s) offering that fact. Citations at the end of the paragraph are not sufficient. This rule applies even when a citation would not be required for the purposes of the article.. To help things stay moving along, I hope it is alright that I have made what I think is the necessary edit (in the first sentence of the body, after the lede).
