Andrew Freedman, John Mahon (baseball)[edit]

Created/expanded by Muboshgu (talk). Self nom at 22:49, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

  • Not sure if the author should get credit for one DYK or two. Freedman was expanded 5X and Mahon is new, but both were expanded with text that is substantially similar. I'll leave the decision on the number of DYKs given to the closing editor. Meanwhile, the hook is definitely interesting and checks out with the sources. Both articles are long enough, though Mahon is just barely so. QPQ reviews have been done. Acdixon (talk · contribs) 17:39, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
  • Some similarity is unavoidable, since this hook refers to one incident that both men were involved in. I agree that the articles contained text that was too similar, so I've partially rewritten Andrew Freedman to be a bit unique. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:02, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
  • Also, I can propose adding this image, if it suits the closing editor. The subject, Freedman, has been deceased since 1915, so this image is in the public domain. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:05, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
