... that agliata sauce (example pictured) originated from the times of Ancient Rome, at which time it was a peasant food that was also used by the upper-classes?

ALT1 doesn't work because the source does not state that it originated as a peasant food. It states "...a sauce based on crushed garlic, typical of peasant cooking, can be found even in the recipes of the upper classes". As such, I prefer the initial hook. N.b. The other source makes no mention of peasant food, nor that the food originated as such. It states that the food "dates back to Ancient Rome". North America¹⁰⁰⁰ 16:52, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
