Template:Cadw park garden row/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usage[edit]

{{Cadw park garden header
| show_site_type = <!-- yes to display a column for site type -->
| show_grade = <!-- yes to display a column for grade -->
| caption = <!-- table-identifying caption; use {{screen reader-only|caption_text}} if similar to nearby section header to make screen reader software-only -->
}}
{{Cadw park garden row | show_site_type = | show_grade= <!-- these should be set to the same as the header template -->
| name =
| location =
| grid_ref =
| lat =
| lon =
| date_listed = <!-- use a sort template: {{dts|format=dmy|YYYY|MM|DD}} -->
| site_type = <!-- can be used with or without show_site_type, see below -->
| notes =
| grade= <!-- accepted values are: I, II*, or II. The template adds colour and sorts by grade (I/II*/II not I/II/II*)-->
| num = <!-- Reference number - as given on Cadw site -->
| uid = <!-- the last part of url on the Cadw site -->
| image = <!-- just the image name, without File: or any other syntax, for example: garden.jpg -->
| alt = <!-- alternative text for those who cannot see the image-->
}}
|}

The row template uses two parameters: show_site_type and show_grade, each of which has only one input value, yes, that will display the required columns. The options used for the header template should be the same as used for the row template.

Example: Template with show_site_type and show_grade not used

Example: Template with show_site_type and show_grade both as: yes

If a value is set for site_type, but the show_site_type parameter is not used, then the site_type will be displayed in bold as part of the notes column. This allows editors to add or remove the site_type column without removing any information. Example as above but show_site_type not used:

Example of filled in template

{{Cadw park garden header|show_site_type=yes|show_grade=yes}}
{{Cadw park garden row|show_site_type=yes|show_grade=yes
| name = [[Abergavenny Castle]]
| location = [[Abergavenny]]
| date_listed = {{dts|format=dmy|2022|02|01}}
| grid_ref = SO 29856 14011
| lat = 51.820302
| lon = -3.019071
| site_type = Park
| notes = The grounds of the medieval castle ruins were landscaped {{circa|1800}} with walks created within the curtain walls. In the later nineteenth century further landscaping took place, a formal garden was laid out, and the castle grounds became a public park.
| grade = II
| num = PGW(Gt)9(MON)
| uid = 264
| image = blank.jpg
| alt = a blank image
}}
|}

Blank version: (can be used to copy/paste into lists and fill in the information)
