Dr.Tara Prasad Joshi (Nepali:डा.तारा प्रसाद जोशी) is a Nepalese politician who serves as a member of the Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly. Joshi was elected from Dadeldhura 1(B) constituency.

Personal life

Joshi was born in a simple family in Ganyapadhura rural municipality-2,Bamangaun of Dadeldhura district in the year 2027 BS. His early education was in the primary school of the village. He completed his secondary education and went to Tarai to study higher education. Joshi, who graduated from Kailali multiple Campus with certificate level and Siddhanath multiple Campus in Mahendranagar, completed his master's degree in Economics from Kamau University, India. He completed his studies in International Politics and Diplomatic Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University with full scholarship quota. During his student life, he started his political journey from Kailali multiple Campus. In the local body elections of 1997, he had to be defeated as the chairman of the village.

Dr.Joshi started political journalism in 2054 BS. Joshi worked as the chief editor of the ideological magazine 'Shikha' weekly published from Kanchanpur. He also wrote columns for Kantipur, Nepal Weekly and India's Hindustan Times. Joshi also spent some time in the teaching profession. During the 2062/063 public movement, he was repressed by the police and was imprisoned for a few days.

Joshi, the founder of 'Vision Dadeldhura', spent a long time studying for the establishment of an industry based on agricultural production in the Far West. After the study, under his leadership, an industry named 'Farwestern Agro Giant Limited' was established with the investment of 777 people and is currently doing trial production. Joshi's concept is that the company which is currently producing Mega Soybean Company (soybeans, pallets, milk, oil, soap) will process other agricultural products in the coming days.
