$20 or $30?[edit]

This article list its gross as $20 and List_of_U.S._box_office_bombs gives it at $30, which is it? What counts here the official or unofficial? Madzyzome (talk) 19:39, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The official tally is $30. howcheng {chat} 03:45, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This is an interesting article on the subject: [1]. The film grossed $30. (There were exactly 6 patrons, presumably at $5 per ticket.) The producer later reimbursed two of those patrons (a woman who worked on the film as a make-up artist and her friend) of their $10. So, the film netted $20. (Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 02:29, 23 May 2009 (UTC))[reply]
The relevant section of the article says they six patrons paid one cent (or maybe 1 cent each?). The release and grossing section of the article thus implies a gross of either 1 cent (or 6 cents?), states an unofficial gross of $20, and then mentions a $10 difference (relative to what?). Zyzzyx Road[edit]

I just want everybody to know that, despite what one may think, this is an actual movie, and everything listed in the article is factually correct. This is true as of when I am writing this, about two minutes after starting the article. It actually grossed thirty dollars, check out the links if you don't believe me.

Also, if anybody can get a picture of the poster on the article, it would be appreciated. They have a picture here. [2]

I don't actually know that much about the movie, so the article needs to be edited. Free-encyclopedia 03:02, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Conflicting release dates[edit]

IMDB has the film listed as released in 2005. Meanwhile, Box Office Mojo and CHUD.com have it as a February 2006 release date. This may be relevant to the section for "2006 box office gross" since it may have made more money in an initial release a year earlier. There is also budget and other information at IMDB that could probably be introduced here. ju66l3r 06:15, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Synopsis[edit]

If there are any Wikipedians who have actually seen this film (as unlikely as that is), a plot summary/synopsis would be appreciated. Jeff Silvers 09:44, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This was all i could find on IMDB:
Grant is an accountant with a bad marriage and a daughter whom he loves. He takes to the road to service his accounts in Las Vegas. While there he meets seductive Marissa. They have a week-long affair which culminates in the arrival of Marissa's ex-boyfriend, Joey. Joey attempts to kill the lovers, but Grant gets the upper hand. Grant and Marissa then drive Joey's body to Zyzzyx Road and Grant buries Joey in the desert there. But in the morning the body is missing and something is trying to kill Grant and Marissa. In the DEATH OF A SALESMAN meets LOLITA ending, Zyzzyx Rd. reveals a shocking, tragic twist.
It does help much becuase we arn't told what the "shocking twist" is, which would be necessary for a proper synopsis.CDuck2 15:09, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I watched the movie half an hour ago so its still fresh and im going to explain it(bsides the IMDB quote). The two,Marissa and Grant drive the body in the middle of nowhere but when Grant tries to bury the body he noticeses that it is missing. The two of them start to search for Joey so that they can kill him or if he is allready dead, bury him.Grant walks down a cliff and has a little fight with Joey but quickly runs back to the car where Marissa is waiting for him. They spend the night together waiting for the sun to rise. When it does,Grant goes down the cliff again in an attempt to find Joey.A trail of blood leads him to some kind of tunel where he eventualy finds Joey but instead of killing him,he explains to Grant that Marissa is a demon. After this little scene they both decide that they need to kill her and cut her heart out.Marissa then runs away,Grant chases her, gets hold of a shotgun and tries to kill her.In the last scene(on the edge of a road),Joey tries to convince Grant to kill Marissa but she stop Grant from doing this by telling him the real fact--that Joey isnt actually with him,he is just imagining it,the two of them were alone in the desert all the time.In a little scene you will notice that Grant locked Joey up in the clooset of the room he and Marissa were and that Joey is still alive. The movie ends by showing Grant throwing himself in front of a truck when he imagines Joey trying to cut Marissa's neck.

So basicaly,this movie is about deranged dude.Lachescandinavu 00:12, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

If the movie is anything like that summary, I can understand why they had to pay a cinema to show it. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 19:22, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So it is... maresalmaior 21:23, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:ZyzzyxRoad.jpg[edit]

Image:ZyzzyxRoad.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Conflicting Numbers[edit]

The linked IMBD page gives running time and budget as 90 minutes and $2m, while the article lists them as 88 minutes and $1.3m. The cite for 88 minutes doesn't reference the running time of the film at all (as far as I can tell) and I'm not sure where the $1.3m budget figure came from. Can anyone verify the numbers listed in the article? Otherwise I will update them to match the IMDB ones and fix the cite. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.168.138.233 (talk) 13:39, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
