I often hear people being called Zeke with having a name differing from Ezekiel. For example, (i.e.) Carlton Banks's mother called him Zeke in episode 5 season 2 of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I also have a friend who's uncle is named Dell, but he is often called Zeke. I was just wondering if anyone could share more about the origins of this name.
