Sources?[edit]

This article is almost entirely without verifiable sources. True or not, this is a violation of wikipedia's core policies. Can anyone dig up sources??Pmaclean (talk) 03:13, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair comment. I have to admit I found it very hard tracking down much about this topic on the web, but there must be references in Tory biogs etc if anyone has books such as those on their shelves Hugh Mason (talkcontribs 20:08, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hugh, by the looks of things, you're an old hand at this--and that makes me surprised that you want to refer to blogs as verifiable sources...! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pmaclean (talkcontribs) 03:02, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, not bLogs, bIogs ... ie biographies! If someone has biographies of current senior tory politicians to hand I am sure there would be some refs to this topic in them. Hugh Mason (talkcontribs 18:02, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately-[edit]

-very little in this article has changed. For instance, if we state "the social dimension of the movement was to prove its ultimate downfall", then we should say why. Yes of course we know it was because they were right-wing extremist loonies, but the readership might not. Treble brandies all round!!! Basket Feudalist 17:35, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

The article should be merged into Conservative Future - it makes no sense to have one article covering the first and third iterations of the Conservative youth movement, and a seperate one for the second. The original Young Conservatives and the present one are no more linked to each other than they are to Conservative Future in any sense but name. Hairygrim (talk) 10:50, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

History and date in Info Box[edit]

why is under "Founded" the date of the new Young Conservatives 16 March 2018 and not the date 1906  ?
