Nice and short article with excellent illustrations and decent citations.

Thanks!

Just a few things though: I'd definitely add a short description at top, something along the lines of "Exercise equipment" or "Mat used for Yoga and stretching". Also, though the history section is well sourced, perhaps fleshing out the descriptions more would be really helpful as I think it's too concise.

WuTang94 Short description added; descriptions extended as requested. Chiswick Chap (talk) 10:38, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

Good transition from a lack of yoga mats or usage of animal skins in ancient India to talking about the modern yoga mat's creation by Angela Farmer. Illustrations are excellent and well captioned. However, I just feel like it's too short and more material from the sources should be inserted.

Displayed quotation from the Shvetashvatara Upanishad; labelled and wikilinked caption to link up with text discussion. Extended account of Hugger Mugger's first mat, with citation.

Types[edit]

A bit more fleshed out than the history section, but it could be better. Especially on "alignment mats".

Added detail on alignment, and on the trade-offs between different types.

In culture[edit]

Maybe rename to "In popular culture"? Other than that I think this is as good as you can get with this section.

Done, and thanks.
