  • The AI in this game, like many other fighters, can perform moves that require a full circle motion without jumping. <-- this is wrong, those moves actually require a 270° motion which can be performed without jumping. I will remove this wrong info from trivia

Fair use rationale for Image:X-Men VS Street Fighter.PNG[edit]

Image:X-Men VS Street Fighter.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Reassessment[edit]

As per the reassessment tag, reassessing: B-class. Some tips for improvement follow:

  • "Similar to Capcom's various Street Fighter titles" - link Street Fighter
  • "It is the first formal installment in the Marvel vs. Capcom series and is responsible for introducing dual-character selection and tag team battles to the franchise." - needs clarification; if it's the first in the series, how does it "introduce" a feature? Doesn't it "introduce" everything, since it's the first? If you meant the SF franchise, you should clarify.
  • "to deliver an arcade-perfect conversion.[8][5] " - ref order
  • Other than that, solid as always. --PresN 16:40, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm doing a sweep. I'll take another, if that's OK. JAGUAR  20:16, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Initial comments[edit]

  • "is a crossover fighting game" - again, I'd use video game here
  • "it was eventually ported" - link video game porting
  • "For example, if Player 1 is controlling Ryu and Player 2 is controlling Wolverine, then Player 1's partner will be Wolverine and Player 2's partner will be Ryu." - why is 'player' capitalised?
    • I was using them as proper nouns. Is that appropriate? Wani (talk) 17:57, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
      • Yeah, it should be fine JAGUAR  18:07, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • IGN and Eurogamer doesn't need to be italicised in the references (optional)
  • Also, I noticed that the reference use year-month-date format instead of month-day-year. Nothing major though
  • I'd split the references into two columns
  • No dead links

Close - promoted[edit]

I rarely do this, but I'm going to pass this outright as I couldn't find anything major enough to put this on hold. It is well written, comprehensive and in slightly better shape than the last. All in all, it meets the GA criteria. Well done! JAGUAR  15:15, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
