Merging with Chinese Swordsmanship[edit]

The Chinese Swordsmanship page could be expanded with a link to this page. However, Wudang Sword is its own entity, probably more famous and legendary than simple "Chinese Swordsmanship." I don't personally own a collection of books on Chinese swordsmanship, but I've been to some discussion boards where guys know all about this stuff. I read in one discussion how certain techniques of Wudang Sword seem to exist in non-Wudang (Shaolin-origin) martial arts. However, this should not preclude Wudang Sword from being merged with a more broadly inclusive page on swordsmanship i.e. this page references a book called "Major Methods of the Wudang Sword," and characterizes many real world Wudang swordsmen; the Chinese Swordsmanship page has one reference which was written by Wudang Swordsman, Zhang Yun, and includes "Taiji" in the title, which also denotes Wudang Sword. I agree that the two pages can be merged, but the Wudang Sword page should keep its name and the Chinese swordsmanship page should redirect here.TommyKirchhoff (talk) 19:29, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
