Marty Glickman[edit]

If it's of any interest, there is an excellent documentary about Marty Glickman, the athlete and sports announcer, currently playing on HBO. Glickman and Sidat-Singh played together on the Syracuse team, and in the documentary, Glickman reveals that when it was announced that Sidat-Singh couldn't play in the Maryland game, Glickman, a Jew who was left off the 1936 Olympics 400-meter relay team because of anti-Semitism, agonized over whether or not to announce that if Wilmeth couldn't play, Glickman wouldn't play either. (Glickman was a major star on the team.) To his everlasting regret, he admits, he never did speak up.173.62.11.59 (talk) 18:33, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
