Removal of unsourced and contentious material[edit]

I have removed most of the last paragraph, A user has changed where it says he is going and I can see no sources (All unsourced and poorly sourced contentious material about living persons should be removed from articles and talk pages immediately.). Someone with more knowledge on the subject might be able to sort this out properly, I don't know how. --Aaronsharpe 00:21, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To make matters worse, someone has been placing personal insults and spurious information throughout this biography. I've tried to fix the vandalism, as it was enlaced throughout a number of previous versions, but may have missed some material. Perhaps the page needs to be locked to allow only registered users.Sturmde 14:13, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

unsourced[edit]

I've removed this as it's unsourced:

In a parallel to his character in CSI who has a disease which results in complete deafness, it is well known among the CSI cast members and writers that William Peterson is... [deleted].

unsourced[edit]

Removed the same as above again as it's definitely not true.

Hi,

I like to call William Petersen "wobbles" because he walks kinda bowlegged.

Fair use rationale for Image:Grahammanhunter.jpg[edit]

Image:Grahammanhunter.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 15:48, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"along with his wife"[edit]

"He left school along with his wife, Joanne" - does this mean he left school and his wife also left school, or he left school and his wife? Richardson mcphillips1 (talk) 22:35, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the new source for his leaving the csi cast[edit]

I changed it because I think CNN.com may be a bit more reliable than EW.com.--Rockfang (talk) 08:50, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a table containing the insects studied/used/discovered by Gil - starting with episode 1? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.62.9.210 (talk) 18:15, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is William Peterson crippled?[edit]

I have been told that WilliamPeterson has a walking problem, that he walks with a limp, is this right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.155.40.148 (talk) 14:27, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Peterson to reprise his role if given the chance[edit]

I moved the following reference http://www.gmanews.tv/story/107279/CSI-series-star-William-Petersen-leaving-in-9th-season just before the sentence confirming Peterson would come back as regular if given the chance because it doesn't say anything about this topic. Moreover, I added the citation needed template because that sentence is therefore unsourced and Gil_Grissom says the exact opposite. Olivier Diotte (talk) 02:34, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Main photo should be changed[edit]

It's not really appropriate for the main photo to be a shot from CSI because when people do web-search for him (or any other person), search-engines usually show a sidebar with information drawn from WikiPedia and the main photo. With this photo, the immediate impression that a person might get is that he's in law-enforcement. Sure, reading the blurb clarifies that he's an actor, but let's be realistic, how many people actually bother to read stuff? Moreover, it's best not to use a photo from any specific role of actors for their main photo, a neutral one is more appropriate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.11.165.116 (talk) 19:30, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
