Westminster Education[edit]

Hi,

Part of the early feed for this entry listed Loftus as having attended Westminster School but without any reference to verify this statement. I have contacted Westminster school, who find no record of his attendance, although his sons (one of whom was also William) did attend. In the absence of supporting information, I have edited out Westminster - unless you know differently!

Boston siege[edit]

Hi @Suntooooth: - if you don't mind, I will undo your exclusion of Loftus' involvement in the Boston siege (category), where he was seconded to a corps of engineers to shore up the defences. I may expand the existing text little.Geneus01 (talk) 08:43, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That's absolutely fair, if you fix the formatting - I removed it because the link was broken, not because I disagreed with its inclusion. Suntooooth (talk) 13:14, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My mistake - thank you... Guy WF Loftus (talk) 05:55, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Guy passed on two typos made - Either the syntax I am using is wrong (the likeliest reason) or the categories don't allow levels of granularity below generalised campaigns (specific battles cannot be pulled out of categories, which would be a shame because there are many battles in a campaign and no one individual participated in all of them if they survived).Geneus01 (talk) 06:18, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
