GA Review[edit]

This review is transcluded from Talk:Wild Barts Can't Be Broken/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

Removed the phrase, "However the senior's salvation is single handily held back by one of their own." because it was grammatically poor and made no sense. If anybody can figure out what this is supposed to mean, please feel free to make it clearer and add it back in. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.240.228.252 (talk) 16:44, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Looking good. Here are a few suggestions to improve the article:

  • which originally broadcast on January 17, 1999 - "which was originally broadcast"
  • leading them to vandalizing Springfield Elementary School - "which leads them to vandalize"
  • Chief Wiggum, believe the damage to have been made by children - "Chief Wiggum, believing"
  • Maybe mention something in the lead about the episode's reception, just for a broader overview.
  • Wiggum enforces a curfew on children, not allowing them to be on the street after sunset - "prohibiting them from being on the streets"
  • see a movie which they saw advertising on television - "which they saw advertised"
  • Dan Castellaneta ad libed Homer singing "Hitler is a jerk, Mussolini..." - maybe give a brief idea of when this happened as it isn't in the plot summary, like saying "at the baseball game" or wherever at the end of the sentence.
  • Italicise The Little Rascals.
  • When Marge reads the review of Talk to the Hand – "The writing snaps, crackles and pops" – it was the review that Variety Magazine gave about Just Shoot Me! when that first came out - kind of badly worded. I suggest 'The review Marge reads of Talk to the Hand – "The writing snaps, crackles and pops" – was the review that Variety Magazine gave of Just Shoot Me! when it first came out'.
    • Italicise Just Shoot Me!.
  • Italicise Bye Bye Birdie.
  • Ref 6 seems to have a stray bracket ] after the URL link.
  • Place 'Kidney Trouble' in single quotes as it's already inside double quotes.
  • Warren Martyn and Adrian Wood, wrote "a curious unmemorable episode..." - "Warren Martyn and Adrian Wood, wrote that the episode was"
  • Italicise Village of the Damned in Martyn and Wood's review.

That's it - the changes will all be pretty easy to make, but nevertheless you've got a week while it's on hold, so good luck :) —97198 (talk) 02:36, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've bolded the points you seem to have missed. —97198 (talk) 03:23, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I already had the part about Hitler "While in the car, he starts to sing the "Hitler is a jerk" song." and I fixed the other points, let me know if the lead needs more on the reception. Ctjf83Talk 03:42, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
First bolded point still isn't fixed; it should read "vandalize" not "vandalizing". The Just Shoot Me link is screwed up - [Just Shoot Me!]] - and otherwise everything is a-ok. —97198 (talk) 04:21, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think I got it all this time! Ctjf83Talk 07:01, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome, I'll go ahead and pass it now. —97198 (talk) 10:38, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and yes[edit]

The Simpsons Wikia has more details about the controversy of this episode. 202.160.16.216 (talk) 04:19, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
