disambiguation[edit]

  • the fact that two bands of the same name exist merits some sort of disambiguation; suggestions for the page names? having one as Whipping Boy and the other as Whipping Boy (band) isn't really the best solution. --Kaini 02:43, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well I cleaned up the disambig page for now, but I reckon Whipping Boy (Irish Band) would be a good name. A similar naming format is used for people - I've seen footballers with the same names distinguished like that.
Also, I think we can afford to lose the disambig template at the start of this page. Given that entering "Whipping Boy" into the search will produce a disambiguation page anyway, and anyone who enters "Whipping Boy (Irish Band)" into the search is very unlikely to be searching for the children's book... done - the punk band now lives at Whipping Boy (American band), this page at Whipping Boy (Irish band), and all links amended accordingly (which was a pain in the ass :P) --Kaini 18:18, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New album?[edit]

I think that this is an album of another band with the same name, I've listened to the first songs and its style is country rock, there are hardly any similarities other than being a rock album. It's quite common on Spotify that the discography of bands with the same name gets mixed up, even though this often gets corrected at a later time. There were apparently no announcements either, for example the Twitter account of band member Paul Page says nothing about it. --Marcus Schätzle (talk) 19:20, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
