Notability and maintenance tags[edit]
While the awards in Europe may make the case for specific notability, the underlying requirement of notability—the general notability guideline—is substantial coverage of the subject in independent reliable sources. Right now, no independent sources are presented in the article; the only link is to a history of the club at the college's web site.
If the awards can be independently verified, then the verifiability and, in my opinion, notability requirements will be satisfied in one stroke. Until then, the article should remain tagged.
Speaking of tags, based on his username, Buxtehude1907 (talk · contribs) has a conflict of interest with the article. I've trimmed a lot of non-encyclopedic text from the article. However, I'd like a set of eyes without connection to Wheaton or the Glee Club to look at the article and decide whether the COI tag can be removed. —C.Fred (talk) 15:10, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
