Pittsburgh?

I think this was brought up before, but should Westminster be considered a Pittsburgh Area University/College (I noticed somebody added the Pittsburgh area tag again)? My inclination is to say yes, especially if California University of PA is considered one, since they are both about the same geographical difference from Pittsburgh. I believe New Wilminton is in the Pittsburgh MSA (but I'm not positive). --Shanafme 20:22, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

I removed (commented) Joseph M. Thomas from the Notable Alumni List. He was listed as a partner of the "Clarion Research Group". I Googled that group and nothing showed up, so I don't believe it is notable enough to be listed here.Shanafme 19:59, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Problem with Dining Services

I believe the problem with Dining Services section is important because of the simple fact that almost all the students feel this way and it is noteworthy if the entire campus holds this opinion on the way the college is run. I don't feel that the dining service section is appropriate for the article. Yes, it may be a problem (trust me, I know after graduating there), but a Wikipedia entry is not the place to address it. I think a better approach would be to create a link on the external websites section documenting the situation. A negative opinion may be universally held, but it is still an opinion and doesn't belong on a factual entry about the institution.Shanafme (talk) 16:13, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Article Structure

This article reads like a college catalog and not an article. Anyone have suggestions on how it can be fixed/improved without deleting most of the content? Using Wikipedia:WikiProject Universities/Article guidelines is the most obvious starting point. Bmstephany (talk) 17:49, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Teaching with Wikipedia Workshop at CMU (Aug 15)

Editors interested in this article may find the Teaching with Wikipedia Workshop that will take place at CMU on Aug 15 of interest. This workshop is open to general public, and is a joint imitative of CMU and Pitt). There will be another workshop held at Pitt in the Fall as well. It will cover how to include Wikipedia in one's course (WP:SUP) and also how to become a Wikipedia:Campus Ambassadors. Pennsylvania has currently only one ambassador (myself) and it would be great if we could recruit at least several more. Ambassadors help course instructors, showing them how Wikipedia works, and interact with students. Many current ambassadors come from the body of students, faculty and university staff; it is a fun adventure, and adds to one resume/CV, to boot :) If it sounds interesting, feel free to ask me any questions, or to come to the workshop. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 20:32, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
