Place of birth[edit]

Some sources claim that Potsdam is the right place of birth. (e.g. the weblink in the article: [1] sports-reference.com)

Other sources claim Berlin: e.g. the German news magazine Der Spiegel wrote in 1975 that he was born in Berlin [2].

I also want to point out that this article was translated from the German article in 2005. In 2018 the place of birth was changed to Potsdam in the German version of this article. All in all, there are sources for both Potsdam and Berlin. My personl guess is that he was born in Potsdam and moved to Berlin as a child. --Kallichore (talk) 17:56, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
