Lovecraft?[edit]

I noticed a striking similarity between this story and H. P. Lovecraft's The Colour Out of Space - does anyone know if that's intentional? I recall reading that Stephen King is a big Lovecraft fan, and was curious. -Elizabennet 00:38, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SUPPORT: I'd like to move this page over to Weeds (short story). The real title of the short story is Weeds, not The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill. It was filmed in Creepshow as The Lonesome Death... but I think that its better known as Weeds. Anyway, thoughts? -Elizabennet 01:15, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps have separate articles for the story and the adaptation ? -- Beardo 21:18, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support move to Weeds (short story). The film adaptation is not really a film, but one of five shorter works that together form the film Creepshow, which already has its own article. A third article on this story is excessive. The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill should probably point to the film article rather than the short story, but it's not all that important which it points to IMO.
