New Album?[edit]

Is this allowed?[edit]

I was just going through, but read "In June 2010, Wang Chung lets their fans hear their new single "Rent Free" online through their facebook page. They also announced that their new double EP will be released through their official site on June 7. One disc contains new songs, while the other contains remade hits. Wang Chung toured the United States from June to July 2010 to promote the new EP. Wang Chung will play their first UK Gig at The Orange Street Music Club in Canterbury on 31 July 2010. Call 01227 760 801 to get one of the very limited tickets available. This show is in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust."

Strange trivia edit[edit]

I see that this:

"In the film Not Another Teen Movie, one scene has several people in detention in a library, an homage to The Breakfast Club, with Paul Gleason reprising his role as Principal Richard Vernon. One Asian student speak and is promptly told to "shut your hole, Wang Chung!" (A possible reference to Wang Chung having sung a song in The Breakfast Club.)"

recently had the quote removed (see history) - without the quote this bit of trivia makes absolutely no sense at all. Anyone care to justify the change, reinstate the quote, or delete the resulting nonsense completely? 7jlong (talk) 13:45, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

American Bandstand cite?[edit]

In re this phrase from the article: "although later, on American Bandstand, they claimed it was the sound a guitar made."

I remember seeing that episode; I vaguely recall one of the members saying that 'wang' was the sound a guitar made when one played a chord by stroking a pick across the strings in an upward direction, and 'chung' was the character of the sound made on the equivalent downstroke. Oppose - it's obvious that when you say, "everybody Wang Chung tonight", you mean the band... oh wait, maybe it's the song... oh wait, I don't even know.
