When did the US Census Bureau designate Wanamie a CDP? This isn't the kind of event that the USCB issues a press release for. It must have occurred after 2003, since the initial CDP's were designated that year and Wanamie was not coloured blue on the Census map like Glen Lyon (also in Newport Township.) CDP's serve no jurisdictional purpose and are maintained solely as sets within designated unincorporated areas for statistical purposes.
