Biographical Information[edit]

A significant amount of biographical/personal life information for Vivian Pickles is needed for this article, as well as sources.

And, the article needs to be structured/formatted as a biographical article.

I will try over the next week to add information as I can find and source it.

Any other contributors of reliable, useful, and sourced information would be much appreciated.

Monte Carlo International Festival[edit]

In terms of her awards, I need some clarification:

--> Is the Monte Carlo International Festival the same as the Monaco International Film Festival ??

Sister of Christina Pickles?[edit]

I happened across this article and noticed the infobox showed Vivian Pickles to be sister of Christina Pickles, and the latter's article had the same information; a search found a Telegraph letters page corroborating this, but I'm not entirely convinced that the letter's writer was correct. Aside from this, the only mentions of such a relationship were on blogs and other such sites, which are not by any means definitive. The 1931 birth record of Vivian K. Pickles, at Hendon, gives her mother as "Jones"; as Christina Pickles's article indicates, her mother's maiden name was "Crampton", and she (Christina) was born at Halifax, West Yorkshire, one of four sisters (and one brother), per her father's Wikipedia article. Pickles/ Crampton births at Halifax are: James (b. 1925, as corroborated by his article); Gwendoline M. (b. 1927); June (b. 1929); Christine (b. 1935); and Angela S. (b. 1940). This would appear to preclude the alleged sisterhood of Vivian and Christina Pickles and on the scant evidence I'm going to edit the articles to reflect the lack of relationship, but thought I ought to account for it here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.144.72.204 (talk) 15:52, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
