Untitled[edit]

I am curious about this statement: "It is one of the most widely performed out of Paganini's last four violin concertos, which are owned by Paganini's estate and are not in the public domain." Not referenced and it makes no sense. I've searched around and can find no other reference to this except for exact quotes lifted from this page. When I looked this up, I was not looking for info on the piece itself; I was looking for the background story of this piece, what inspired it. Only the solo part exists?[edit]

There is a manuscript at IMSLP that contains a solo part but also contains a piano reduction. It's not, I think, an autograph manuscript, and it's the manuscript copy republished by Swand in 1972, but unless this piano reduction is the work of Mr. Mompellio instead of also having survived?... Also: "The final sentence of the third movement contains the allusion to the famous Caprice #24. Most of the orchestration was not written by Paganini and was completed after his death." - if only the solo part is extant, then all of the orchestration, and everything else, except for the solo part, was not written by Paganini (or is lost). Most preformed? Franco Gulli[edit]

I don't think that #5 is remotely "most widely performed out of Paganini's last four violin concerto" -- #2 with La Campanella, and #3 and #4 have been recorded a lot more than #5
