Dating[edit]

Some sources (this not only) give 1990, revised 1993, others 1989-1992 or 1993, generally the birthdate of the piece seems contentious (date of composition of the cadenza used to be, and certainly should still be, considered to postdate composition of the piece, so 1992 still seems a fair end date ... if that is all that is in question.) ... the lack of any references whatever though is something of a concern...
