Correction needed[edit]

The U. S. Army was not within artillery range of these caves, so they could not have bombarded them. I suspect research will uncover the U. S. Air Force and/or the Royal Lao Air Force as the bombers. However, I believe that during the time I served in Laos (September 1969-March 1971), the caves near Sam Neua were offlimits for air strikes.

Corrected U. S. Army to U. S. Air Force, as stated in referenced source (which, incidently is non-NPOV). A check with Steel Tiger reveals that U. S. Navy aviation also was active in this area. Note: WP cannot be used as a reference for itself; another source would be needed for that.
