I'm not happy with a few details here, but I've decided to proceed and see about fixing them up in the future.

Confirming a few more of the dates
I may adjust the wording for some of the sections such as the focus of teaching
The cause and effect wordings may need a little adjustment.

Queen Street AoG is a significant milestone in the trajectory of the NZ AoG. The influence of it's ministry from the 1970's and crisis in 1983 remains. Circumspects (talk) 11:32, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Uncertainty about dates and people in 1983[edit]

The Auckland Herald newspaper was the standard, regular advertising venue for the church. For all the Sundays in April and May 1983 Neville Johnson is listed as the pastor of Queen Street AoG. All venues are the Town Hall, except May 15 (Alexander Park) and May 22 (Logan Park). Then on Saturday 4th June there is no Sunday services notice (there is only a notice for a Thursday open meeting of the woman's fellowship).

Then from Saturday June 11 until at least July 23 another individual is listed as Pastor. He is not referred to in the definitive history of the NZ AoG (Clark's book). Maybe this person was an interim pastor before the arrival (or appointment?) of Kem Price. (Ref: Microfiche at Manakau Reference Library)

I know there were several relevant articles around this time in North and South, Metro, or Shaker magazine - or Challenge Weekly. Any help with dates, references is appreciated Circumspects (talk) 20:17, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
