Please avoid comparing the city size with other cities[edit]

Comparing the size is creating an unnecessary, un-healthy competition with people from other cities. Because of this people from other cities are trying to edit vellore page often. Why can't we avoid that.

1) The content related to leather originally appeared in Economic times and then in http://vellore.nic.in/dic.htm. Please see the second para in the link. These guys in velloreonline had acutally copied many contents from Wiki and claiming the credit. I was the one who had posted the leather related data. At that time this webiste was not even there. If vellore online is claiming credit for the text, then this text can be found in the following links too.§

8) Last but not the least, a question to the moderators, what is this comparsion all about in Duplicate Detector, only words are matching but not the sentence, at one point you are comparing a Church with income, come on..

Interesting Article[edit]

I enjoyed reading this article; a member of another forum lives in Vellore so I was curious to find out where it is. The article is packed with information- always the most important aspect- and the layout is good as are the pictures. Obviously, the originator and subsequent contributors have put a lot of work into writing it. There are a few minor points though which are worth making:

1) It was not immediately clear from the opening paragraph what Vellore is. Is it a city or an administrate area or perhaps both? It would be useful if this was clarified.

2) The pictures are very good, except one which is maybe a touch prosaic: 'NH 46 Green Circle Junction (Central Bus Terminus) flyover in Vellore City'. There is nothing wrong with the picture per se, but a more interesting subject would be better. There should be no shortage of them judging by the article.

3) In general, the readability of the article could be improved. This is no big deal to do though (mind you, I wouldn't even be able to read a single word in Tamil). CPES (talk) 09:33, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
