Hafslund-Sarpsborg[edit]

The two letter codes for Sarpsborg belongs under Hafslund. Hafslund covers both cities Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad. Originally Sarpsborg was allocated AD (and subsequent codes) and Fredrikstad was allocated AR (and subsequent codes). Sometime in the 1980ies the two offices were merged, but due to the historic rivalry between the two nabouring cities, Hafslund to this date issues plates in the original AD (and subsequent codes) to residents in Sarpsborg and AR (and subsequent codes) to residents in Fredrikstad. 77.16.212.153 (talk) 00:28, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
