I just added the following: "Also, it was here were Alessandro Marchetti's Savoia-Marchetti SM.93 flew his first test rounds."

Dear Wikipedia's operator, I'm Italian and I live in Canzo (Como province). Recently I've correct some imperfection on Canzo's page. Now I've correct Varese's page, Varese is not a City because in Varese there is not a Cathedral and have not a diocese but depend from Milano's Ambrosian diocese. In English language I can call City only a town where is a cathedral or bishop with relative diocese and Varese have not this caracters. Excuse my orrible english! Thanks for your attention. Federico.

I don't agree at all with this change.
Your definition of city is not supported by any source.
As you can read in Wikipedia city page, in Italy the status of "city" is granted by the President of the Republic with Presidential Decree Law.
According with that, Varese can be named as city. I've already modified the page.

I deleted most of the history paragraph because it was related to Varese Ligure, in the Liguria region, not to Varese, in Lombardy —Preceding unsigned comment added by JohannTserclaes (talkcontribs) 14:09, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
